Get to know our pastor
Pastor Jamin Grubbs and his wife Melaney are North Alabama natives who are passionate about people coming to faith in Jesus and living a life of worship and obedience to God. Over the 5 years they have served here at Trinity, they have gotten to witness God do some amazing things. TBC has experienced healing and restoration, and many people have come to an authentic relationship with Jesus. Pastor Jamin and Melaney look forward to continue building on the great legacy of TBC by engaging and equipping people to be fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Jamin married his highschool sweetheart, Melaney, in 1991. She is his biggest cheerleader, confidant, and best friend. She faithfully serves alongside Pastor Jamin as they minister to our church and community. They are blessed with two beautiful daughters, Taylor and Tori; two great son-in-laws, Parker and John Michael; and 3 incredible grandchildren, Mollie James, Emma, and Silas.
Pastor Jamin graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Tennessee Temple University and with a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served God in many different capacities over the years. Straight out of college, he served as a coach and teacher in the Birmingham area. In 1994 he began full-time ministry as a Student Pastor in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA. Since then he has served as a Senior Pastor (Temple Baptist Church, Cullman, AL), Middle School Pastor (First Baptist Church, Gardendale, AL), and Student Pastor over all middle school - college students (FBC Gardendale). In October of 2018, he became the Lead Pastor here at Trinity Baptist Church.
Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you” has inspired Pastor Jamin in the way that he leads. In His words, we are to “be a giver of grace because we have received the greatest gift of grace.”
