The Baptism of Jesus
This Sunday, we gathered to lift high the name of Jesus—on the mountaintop and in the valley low—because He is worthy of all our praise. No matter the season you’re walking through, there is hope: Jesus is alive, and He has made a way for us to be right with God.
In this message, we continue our journey through the Gospel of Mark, focusing on a powerful moment at the very beginning of Jesus’ ministry—His baptism.
Why was Jesus baptized if He was without sin?
What does this moment reveal about who He is?
And what does it mean for us today?
We explore how Jesus:
🤝 Humbly identified with sinful humanity
💪 Fulfilled the Father’s plan perfectly
🙌 Was publicly revealed as the beloved Son of God
❤️ Showed us what it looks like to live in obedience
📖 Key Passage: Mark 1:9–11
📖 Additional Scriptures: Isaiah 61, Ephesians 2, Romans 5
🙏 A Moment to Respond
Have you trusted Jesus as your Savior?
Have you taken the step of obedience through baptism?
This message is an invitation—not just to learn, but to respond.
