Are You Willing to Be Sent?

Following Jesus means more than hearing His teaching. Eventually, He calls us to go.

In Mark 6:7–29, Pastor John Michael continues our journey through the Gospel of Mark as Jesus sends the twelve disciples into ministry. They are called to trust God over comfort, faithfully proclaim a message of repentance, and continue in obedience even when people reject the gospel.

John Michael reminds us that Jesus never promised our obedience would always produce visible results. Our responsibility is to faithfully sow the seed and trust God with the outcome.

The passage then turns to John the Baptist, whose faithfulness ultimately cost him his life. His story forces us to ask a serious question: are we content simply hearing the teachings of Jesus, or are we willing to be sent?
