Busy for God, Distant from God? | Mark 7:1-13

Are we growing closer to Jesus—or just checking religious boxes? This week on Ordinary Faith, we dive into Mark 7:1–13 and Jesus’ challenge to traditions that take priority over God’s Word.

Through honest conversation and personal stories, we explore how church attendance, ministry responsibilities, and even good habits can become substitutes for a heart that’s close to God. We also talk about putting prayer first, examining our motives, and the freedom of approaching God as His children instead of trying to prove our spirituality.

If you’ve ever felt busy doing things for God but distant from Him, this conversation is an invitation to come honestly to the Father and ask Him to renew your heart.
